Educated in Italy, 34 year old professional artist Adria Hanson specializes in portraiture and landscapes in oil, acrylic and watercolor.   Hanson studied painting, Christian art and art history in Florence and archeology in Israel and Jordan.  From this education abroad, Hanson uses art history and traditional painting techniques in her work.  Commissioned portraits are painted in the Italian method of glazing for realistic skin effect.  However lately, watercolor has been the latest medium used since the birth of their first born in November 2008. The watercolor technique Hanson uses comes from an old English method beginning in Britian in the 1800's.
